Service Disruptions


(Update) FSU Zoom authentication Problem 11/22

UPDATE: ITS continues to address this issue. We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience. [11/22/2019 3:00PM ET]


PROBLEM: Access to FSU Zoom web conferencing is currently intermittently available. Users are currently unable to sign into their FSU Zoom accounts through some web browsers, but as a workaround should be able to sign in using browsers in their private or incognito modes. ITS is investigating this issue and will have full access to FSU Zoom web conferencing restored as soon as possible.

Multiple Services Maintenance 11/23

MAINTENANCE: Multiple services and functions within PeopleSoft will be intermittently unavailable while ITS performs planned maintenance from 7AM-5PM ET Saturday, November 23. During this time, operating system and application updates will be applied.

Windows Update Maintenance 11/23

MAINTENANCE: ITS Core Windows systems, including SQL and Active Directory, will be intermittently available while ITS performs planned maintenance from 8AM-12PM ET Saturday, November 23. During this time, ITS will be installing security and critical updates released by Microsoft. The installation of these updates may require a restart of the systems. UPDATE: While Microsoft continues to address this issue, users may be unable to load or save SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business files. [11/21/2019 3:33PM ET]


PROBLEM: Microsoft OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online are currently intermittently available. Users may experience intermittent delays or navigation errors when accessing SharePoint sites or OneDrive content. Microsoft is working to resolve this issue and have these collaboration services restores as soon as possible.

UPDATE: FSUGuest access issues are Tallahassee campus wide. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue. [11/20/2019 12:20PM ET]


PROBLEM: FSUGuest wireless is currently unavailable at the FSU Turnbull Conference Center. Users may be unable to access the Guest splash page. ITS is actively working to resolve this issue and have FSUGuest wireless restored as soon as possible.

MAINTENANCE:  All ITS-hosted Windows systems, excluding ERP, SQL and AD systems will be intermittently available while ITS performs planned maintenance from 4-7AM ET, Thursday, November 14.  During this time, ITS will install security and critical updates released by Microsoft. The installation of these updates may require a restart of the systems. These updates are performed on the Thursdays following the release of Microsoft updates (the second Tuesday of every month).

MAINTENANCE: The Mailrelay.fsu.edu service will be available while ITS performs planned maintenance from 5PM-6PM ET Tuesday, November 12.  The MTA will be migrated from Sendmail to Postfix on the second half of the servers hosting this service.

MAINTENANCE: FSU main campus telephone voicemail services will undergo emergency maintenance from 9PM-10PM ET Sunday, November 10. During this time, users may experience a delayed voicemail or delayed voicemail to Office 365 delivery.

RESOLVED: The vendor has resolved this issue, and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is fully operational. Thank you for your patience. [11/08/2019 6:45 PM ET]


UPDATE: After yesterday's change to the new caller ID number for phone call authentications (+1-669-201-9315), the vendor has observed issues with calls to U.S. devices being blocked by several carriers. They are reaching out to their telephony providers to whitelist the new number and add more numbers for authentications to originate from. We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience. [11/08/2019 1:45 PM ET] 


PROBLEM: Two-factor authentication (2FA) is currently intermittently available through the Duo “Call Me” option. Users are reportedly unable to receive phone calls from Duo when attempting to complete the 2FA process. In the meantime, users can still complete two-factor authentication by choosing to have a Duo Push sent to a device configured with the Duo Mobile app or by entering a passcode. ITS is monitoring the situation while the vendor (Duo) is working to resolve this issue and have the calling option restored as soon as possible.

MAINTENANCE: Multiple services will be unavailable while ITS performs planned maintenance from 5-7AM ET Thursday, November 7. During this time, ITS will be applying updates to the equipment that supports these services.

RESOLVED:  VoIP Phone Services experienced issues which made the service intermittently unavailable. Users were experiencing busy signals. ITS has resolved this issue, and VoIP Phones Services fully operational. Thank you for your patience.
