RESOLVED: The vendor has resolved the issue impacting some Telephony Participants. Any users who are still having issues should contact the ITS Service Desk. [06/03/2020 7:50PM ET]

UPDATE: The vendor has identified and is working to resolve this issue with participants joining by telephone. In the meantime, please join Zoom Meetings and Zoom Video Webinars via computer audio (VoIP). [06/03/2020 1:08PM ET]

PROBLEM: Zoom services are currently experiencing intermittent issues. Participants joining Zoom Meetings and Webinars by telephone are reportedly being dropped. The vendor is investigating this issue and hope to have call-in access fully restored as soon as possible.

Start Time: 06/03/2020 12:45PM

RESOLVED: ITS has successfully pushed out a fix for the Zoom client to update to version 5.0. Moving forward, Zoom version 5.0 will be required so any users who are still having issues should contact the ITS Service Desk. [06/03/2020 4:05PM ET]

UPDATE: ITS has been actively sending Zoom update fixes that should allow Zoom installations to update to version 5.0 or greater. Many should now be able to update Zoom either natively from the application itself or by receiving updates through Software Center (Windows) or Managed Software Center (macOS). If you have an immediate need to join a Zoom meeting and your Zoom is not at version 5.0 or greater, users can always join the meeting using the web client or mobile app on iOS or Android devices as a workaround until the installed client has been updated. It is also important to note CTS-managed macOS computers will need to either be on campus or connect to VPN in order to receive updates from Managed Software Center. Any users who are still unable to update Zoom to version 5.0 or greater should contact the ITS Service Desk. [06/03/2020 11:15AM ET]

UPDATE: ITS has become aware some people are not able to connect to Zoom meetings when using the Zoom client on a Windows or Mac computer. ITS is evaluating the situation and working to update Zoom clients on affected computers. We have found that some users who have manually installed the newest version of the Zoom client may have two versions of the client. Those who need to participate in a Zoom conference should use the web client or a mobile app until their desktop client can successfully log into Zoom. ITS will update the ITS newsfeed as new information becomes available. We will also inform IT professionals. People experiencing problems should contact the ITS Service Desk. [06/02/2020 6:00PM ET]
